The holidays are a time for family, fun and food. And we hope that you enjoy your holiday meals… but please make sure that your animals do not! Human foods can be harmful, and even fatal, to our four-legged friends, despite their tastiness!

Did you know that for a 20 pound dog, one small oatmeal cookie is the caloric equivalent of one hamburger or a whole chocolate bar for a person? Or, that one ounce of cheddar cheese is the caloric equivalent of two-and-a-half hamburgers or one-and-a-half chocolate bars for a person?

If your animals do get into some of the holiday goodies, and become ill, contact the office immediately to talk with a veterinarian. The office number is (360) 416-6944.

Have a Happy and Safe Holiday!

Dr. David Anderson will be speaking on “Keeping Cria on the Right Track from Day One” on Tuesday, November 29th at 6PM at Puget Sound Veterinary Group in Mount Vernon. If you would like to attend and have not yet RSVP’d, please contact the office at (360)416-6944 or psvg@comcast.net.
