Senior Wellness, Part two

As our pets age we can expect the process to mirror what we go through as we age. Joints may be stiff, eyesight and hearing might diminish or change, memory might not be as acute, and many of the other numerous changes that accompany getting older. But there are things that we can do to help our pets age gracefully.

First, keep them active and engaged – physical activity helps keep the body strong and the senses sharp. Make sure to feed them appropriately – good nutrition fuels the body and supports healthy mental functions. And lastly, address any concerns you may have regarding your pet with the doctor, even something “small”. We want to take care of those “small” issues before they have a chance to become “big”.

Our animal companions are a gift, and we want to have them with us for as long as we can. Please contact the office if you have any questions about your pet or its needs.
