Jackie Waltner, DVM
Owner & Veterinarian
Dr. Jacquelyn (Jackie) Waltner was raised on a small farm in Port Orchard, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Oregon State University in 1993 and then went on to receive her DVM degree from Washington State University in 1997. After graduating she worked as the resident veterinarian for Alpacas of America for almost three years, after which she went on to take a position with a mixed animal clinic in Skagit county. Dr. Jackie enjoys working with a wide variety of species – from alpacas and llamas to dogs and cats to ferrets and birds. Dr. Jackie has two children, Jessica and Nicholas, whom she is very proud of and who keep her very busy! At home they have a veritable zoo – fish, cats, dogs, alpacas, llamas, cows and horses. She enjoys reading, hiking and swimming. And in her spare time she also helps her husband manage two working farms, one in Skagit county and one in Okanogan county!
